The family of the Banyan Support house |
5% of every Omahi sale goes to the support house, Banyan, India, run by the Indian association VCDM. I hope to be able to increase this percentage in the next few years! It is my dream to be able to see this place, grow, develop! I have been involved with this wonderful team for 9 years now. |
The support house currently welcomes 15 girls between the age 6 and 18 years, from precarious socio-economic backgrounds. We offer them a space where they can live and learn with peace and security.
Every day the girls go to the village school. The support house constitutes for them a structured space where they can study. This space was created so that they can grow and flourish in safety, benefiting from the care, education and emotional and moral support of Thai and Ghare, the ‘social worker’ couple responsible for taking care of the support house. The support house is a place full of life, a big Family. Each month parents are welcomed to discuss their respective daily problems. By working with the family as a whole, they have a profound impact on the children |
